This short video describes how a plasma is created and some typical behavior of the ions and electrons. An electrical discharge, or plasma, is an important aspect of the ion beam source.
We will discuss how to create and sustain an electrical discharge, or plasma, using either DC or RF methods. We will show important parameters that make up an efficient plasma as well as some tips on maintenance.
